Questions from the surface
Freediving is diving underwater on a single breath — no tank, no bubbles. Modern courses teach the breathing, relaxation, and safety techniques that make it a calm, controlled sport rather than a stunt.
Sea Critter teaches year-round from Pondicherry, with seasonal courses and trips in Goa, the Andaman Islands, and the Maldives.
At Sea Critter, courses range from ₹12,000 for the one-day Basic Freediver to ₹18,500 for the full PADI Freediver certification. Equipment and PADI certification fees are included.
Taught properly, yes. Every session runs with a trained buddy watching every breath-hold, instructor ratios never exceed one-to-four, and depth progression is individual. The sport's real risks come from diving alone or untrained — exactly what a course prevents.
