Structure

How the course unfolds

  1. 01

    Assessment

We start by observing your current relaxation, equalisation, body position, and finning to pinpoint exactly what's holding your depth back.

  2. 02

    Confined water

Targeted drills on the specific issues found in your assessment, plus functional residual capacity (FRC) and static apnea work.

  3. 03

    Open water

Progressive depth dives that apply the corrected technique, building depth gradually as relaxation and equalisation hold up under pressure.

  4. 04

    Certification

Upon successful completion, you'll receive your PADI Advanced Freediver certification, recognised worldwide.

Skills you'll learn

  • Advanced relaxation and mental preparation
  • Equalisation troubleshooting at depth
  • Body position and finning refinement
  • Functional residual capacity (FRC) dives
  • Free immersion and constant weight technique
  • Progressive depth training
  • Advanced safety and rescue procedures

Performance requirements

  • Static apnea session
  • FRC dive session
  • Open water depth session to course standards (24 metres)

Safety, first and always

Every depth session runs on a dive line with an instructor stationed at working depth and a dedicated safety lanyard. Progression stays individual — you move deeper only once your equalisation and relaxation hold up, never on a fixed schedule.

Certification

Upon successful completion, students receive an internationally recognised PADI Advanced Freediver certification valid worldwide.

FAQ

Advanced Freediver — common questions

Yes. The Advanced Freediver course requires a PADI Freediver certification (or equivalent) with some logged open-water dives.

The course maximum is 24 metres, though the real focus is on the technique that gets you there safely and repeatably, not the number itself.

Very. That's exactly what this course is built for — we diagnose what's actually limiting your depth, whether it's equalisation, relaxation, or technique, and work on that specifically.
