Course overview

This course covers the main skills you need to start freediving properly. You'll practise breath-hold in the pool, learn how to move efficiently underwater, and take those skills into open water for depth training, with safety and buddy procedures built into every session.

No previous freediving certification is required.

Prerequisites

  • Minimum age 15 years
  • Comfortable swimming 200 metres non-stop
  • Completed medical questionnaire

How the course unfolds

    Learn

    We start with the basics — breathing, equalisation, technique, and safety.

  2. 02

    Pool

    We practise static and dynamic apnea and the safety skills you'll need with a buddy.

  3. 03

    Open water

    We work on duck diving, equalisation, free immersion, constant weight, and safe buddy diving.

Performance requirements

Safety, first and always

Safety and buddy procedures are part of every session — you're never in the water working on a breath-hold without a trained buddy watching, in the pool or in open water.

Certification

You don't need to be able to do these before joining the course — we'll work on them during the training. Upon successful completion, you'll receive your PADI Freediver certification.
